Project Description
Africa's largest cement complex: 6 parallel production lines, 36,000 TPD total clinker capacity, across a 5 km² site in Beni Suef, Egypt. Contract value $1.12 Billion. Role: Owner Representative — Engineering Authority of Armed Forces.
Key technical responsibilities:
• Calibrated & commissioned 6 Ready-Mix batching plants; full QC cycle (Slump, Cube, Compressive Strength)
• Self-Compacting Concrete (SCC) using Glenium admixture for complex structural elements
• Mass Concrete with embedded pipe cooling systems to control hydration heat; daily inlet/outlet water temperature monitoring
• Slip Form construction for vertical silos and towers
• Supervised 2 full production lines (raw mill → pre-heater → kiln → cooler → cement mill → silos)
• 9 power transformers, Switchgear Building, Control Room, GIS Building, battery backup systems
• 3D BIM modeling, clash detection, 4D phase planning, VDC 5D simulation
